Love That Rug!!!

My mother really enjoys showing off the Rag Rugs I’ve made for her, and her friends have taken to requesting Rag Rugs for themselves. Mom also likes to keep a couple of extras on hand to give as gifts, and it seems as though she gives away two or three every spring as wedding presents.

Rag Rugs are a natural magnet for kids and pets. When I set my first Rag Rug down on the floor in my mother’s house, the family dog went right over and curled up on it as if that’s just where he always belonged! A Rag Rug offers an oasis on a cold floor that dogs and cats are naturally drawn to.

Rag Rugs not only add to your home’s decor, they also make great gifts that are sure to please friends and family! My sister has a Rag Rug in almost every room of her house, and when she wants to redecorate, she always calls with a request for new ones!

I always tell people that the rugs are great because they’re not only easy to clean, but they’re REVERSABLE as well. When company’s coming and you’re in a pinch for time, just turn the rug over and voila! The clean side is now up! Afterwards, on cleaning day, just throw the Rag Rug into the washing machine. You can then throw it in the dryer (I like to leave mine in for just a little while) or leave it flat on any surface to dry. Afterwards, you just take a little time to re-stretch it to its original shape and, of course, to give it a short refresher course in how to BE A RUG!

Rag Rugs are not only colorful, but they’re rugged and easy to clean. People find them ideal for all sorts of places in their homes. By the kitchen or laundry room sink, for example, or outside the shower door. You’ll find Rag Rugs on people’s porches, inside their front doors, and in front of their fireplaces. “It just ties the room together, ” to quote the Dude in the “Big Lebowski.”

And a Rag Rug is especially great to lay by your bed for your bare feet on cold winter mornings!

A friend of mine has a 15 month old toddler who loves to play on the Rag Rug I gave her. The little girl just loves the bubbly texture of the rug and even tries to find the knots! Another friend has a baby who likes to play on her Rag Rug. It serves as a natural play area where baby and toys are content to stay right there on the rug.

My 15 year old daughter has also learned to make Rag Rugs. It’s something she really likes to do, and she says it’s a great “mother/daughter project.”

Many customers comment on the fact that “these are just like my Grandma used to make” or “these were all over our house when we were growing up!” Rag Rugs evoke a lot of warm memories for people. I look forward to hearing about some of the memories you create with our Recycled Rag Rug Kits.
